What You’ll Explore

Spiti Valley is surrounded by high mountain ranges, up to 4590 meters. This peculiar geo-climatic cold desert region borders to Tibet in the east and Ladakh in the north. This ist, why it is called „Spiti“ – „The Middle Land“. In Spiti the people live a Buddhist culture, simular to their neighbours in Tibet and Ladakh. On this part of the tour you will visit different monasteries, you can serach for fossils, know local families and meditate in this spectacular landscape.This tour leaves you to Manali and to Spiti Valley, both located in the very north of India in the Himalaya mountains.

  • Detail Itinerary 
  • Day 01:Arrival in Delhi

    , reception at the airport and transfer to hotel – overnight in hotel

    Day 02:Visit Delhi night Bus to Manali

    You have time after breakfast to relax or do some sightseeing around Delhi – there are many options such as visiting the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Mosque, see Old Delhi by bicycle rickshaw, In the early evening we will drop you to the over-night bus to Manali. We suggest an early dinner / late lunch since you will be transferred from the hotel to the Deluxe Volvo Bus at approx 6:00pm.
    The bus provides bottled water and blankets and they stop for a late dinner (at approx. 9:30 – 10pm). There will also be additional rest stops on the way to Manali. The bus journey takes 12 – 14 hours.

    Day 03:Arrival in Manali

    Arrival in Manali at around 8:00 am. From here you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel or family house 4km up the road in the town of Vashisht (Elevation 2000 meters).
    You can rest and relax or take your toiletries and towel and head to the local temple to bathe in the deliciously warm natural hot springs – wash away your travels and nourish yourself in these especially healing waters.
    Enjoy lunch at the Ram Family house. After lunch we will have a short orientation talk. In the evening you will meet yoga shala and he will talk to you about yoga and meditation. Introduction with Indian yoga teacher .
    Dinner.Night in family house or hotel.

    Day 04- Yoga and short Hike

    First day of yoga – pranayama and asana practice for 2 hours
    Breakfast
    After breakfast guided walk to Jogney Falls. These are beautiful waterfalls about an hour along the wall of the valley from Vashisht. These falls descend from high above and run into the Beas River below. Dinner.Night in family house or hotel.

    Day 05 : Yoga and Village walk

    After lunch at 2:30pm we will take a walk with our local guide Amar. We will walk up along the valley to three distinct villages that dot along the Beas River. We will visit the village of Burwa, Shanag and Goshal,
    Around 7pm supper will be served

    Day 06: Yoga and Temple Visit

    Second Yoga Class – pranayama and asana practice for 2 hours
    Breakfast
    After breakfast do some local sightseeing. Visit the village of Old Manali and the beautiful Hadimba Temple. Hadimba temple is about one km from Manali – it is very old and surrounded by the tall cedar pine trees on the edge of Dhungri village. According to legends, Bhima one of the Pandava brothers fell in love with an aboriginal woman named Hadimba, the sister of the local chief by the name of Hadimba and married her…. After lunch you have time to visit new or old Manali and shop or just have a look around. In your own time you can take a rickshaw back to Vashisht. Dinner.Night in family house or hotel.

    Day 07- Manali to Kaza (3600 m): Drive: 196 km – 8 HRS drive

    Early morning breakfast drive over Rohtang La (3900 m), the gateway between Lahaul and Spiti valley
    Drive up to the pass Kunzum La (4700 m), which offers extensive views of snow-capped mountains and the valley of the Chandra Bhaga( C B Range ) The road winds its way through villages and deserted stretches of Spiti Valley, giving you the opportunity to marvel again at the dramatic landscape.

    Day 08 –Visit Key and Kibber- 4/5 Hrs

    Visit the famous Kyegompa, of the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism, perched high on a pyramid-like mountain
    Also explore Kibber (4200 m), one of the highest permanent inhabited villages in the world, which is located in a bowl-shaped narrow valley
    Return to Kaza in the evening
    Meditation in key Monastery with Budhist monk (lama)

    Day 09 Exploring “Hidden” Spiti (4500 m)

    Drive to Langza, visit the village; further to Komik, known for one of the highest monasteries in the world and for fossils
    You can have fun fossil-hunting! You can also visit local houses to know more about the life of the inhabitants of these high-altitude places
    Night in Langa in Home stay with Buddhist Family
    Here you will enjoy Buddhist-Tibetan food.

    Day 10 :Langza to Tabo -60 KMS

    Drive thought Dhankar monastery
    Dhankargompa, the site of the ancient capital of the Spiti rulers, has the most incredible location, perched high on barren, rocky mountain slopes.
    Tabo Its famed gompa was founded in 996 AD, and is replete with magnificent thangkas and statues
    In trans-Himalayas Buddhism, Tabo monastery’s sanctity is next only to Tibet’s Tholinggompa
    Meditation in key Monastery with Budhist monk (lama)

    Day 11: Tabo to KazaVia Pin valley

    Visit pin valley continue drive to Kaza Night in Kaza

    Day 12: Kaza to Manali (2000 m): Drive: 230 km – 9 Krs drive

    Early breakfast drive from kaza and same road till Manali
    Night in Manali

    Day 13: Manali to Delhi

    Free visit in Manali till 4 M
    Evening transfer to Bus stand night bus to Delhi
    Night in Bus

    Day 14: Arrive Delhi

    Transfer to hotel
